We currently have over 2,000 members throughout Northern Virginia serving the public in every aspect of the law such as business law, family law, criminal law, and wills, trusts, and estates, just to name a few. We have a partnership with our local judiciary to improve the administration of justice in Fairfax County. We also make sure there is plenty of opportunities to network with other attorneys while participating in a variety of social, educational, and service programs - check out our calendar for full details.
While Fairfax Bar Association dues are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses, subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. FBA estimates that the nondeductible portion of your dues allocable, to include FY2015 expenses which must be included for tax reporting purposes, is 13.5%. Please consult with your tax advisor.
If you have any questions about joining the FBA or renewing your membership, please contact Lauren Portillo, Membership Coordinator, at 703-246-2734 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
