Judicial Screening Committee
The FBA Judicial Screening Committee is charged with evaluating candidates seeking appointment to the Fairfax Circuit, General District, and Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Courts. The nine committee members, recommended by the FBA Nominating Committee and elected by the FBA Board of Directors, serve three-year staggered terms, so each year three new members are appointed.
The FBA Judicial Screening Committee invites all judicial candidates to appear before our committee. Based upon a written application and interview candidates are eligible to receive one of the following ratings.

Judicial Screening Membership Vote
The Circuit Court Judicial Screening online membership vote began on Monday, November 24, 2014 and concluded on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 4:00PM. Pursuant of the Rules of the FBA Judicial Screening Committee (rules updated September 2013), "After the close of all voting, the tabulation of ballots, and the report of the tabulation by the FBA President to each applicant, the results of the membership vote shall be posted (including the vote count) on the FBA's website."
