In the General District Court, attorneys may file motions for the 9:30 AM criminal docket on felony cases in order to waive preliminary hearing or enter a plea. The judges require notice be provided to the Commonwealth's Attorney and that the motions be filed at least two business days in advance. Bond motions on felonies may still be filed by 3:00 PM in order to be heard on the next morning's 8:30 AM docket in 2G.
