Ann Elmore Keith

Ann Elmore Keith died peacefully November 15, 2010. 

 

Joseph C. Bennet, Jr.

Joseph C. Bennet, Jr. passed away on October 23, 2010 at the age of 85. He was the husband of Evelyn M. Bennet; and father and step-father of Mary Elizabeth Bennet, Sam Bennet, Virginia Scarborough, Katherine Medeiros, Dane Kielsgard, Chris Kielsgard, Mark Kielsgard, and the late William Bennet and Kevin Kielsgard. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Joseph served as a Marine in WWII and was a lawyer in Fairfax since 1950.

 

Richard E. Henning Jr. 

Richard E. Henning Jr. passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in Arlington, Virginia.  

 

Richard Henry Lewis 

Richard Henry Lewis (April 25, 1929-March 20, 2010) passed away in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on March 20, 2010 of heart failure.  He had retired to Florida after being a member of the Virginia Bar for 50 years.

Born April 25, 1929, he was the son of the late Henry and Helen Lewis of Arlington, VA.  He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dianne L. Lewis, also survived by his daughters Susan Casey, Jennifer Carroll, Christina Canouse and two sons Richard and John Lewis.  Also, his brother Robert Lewis of Oregon. He leaves behind nine grandchildren.

Dick attended Washington and Lee High School in Arlington, VA and continued his education at the College of William and Mary, then graduating from the Marshall Wythe School of Law at William and Mary.  Excelling in sports, he was inducted into the William and Mary Hall of Fame and named an All-American. Dick also served during the Korean Conflict and was a proud member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. 

 

Edward J. Walinsky

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of our friend and colleague, Edward J. Walinsky. Ed passed away on February 28, 2010, after a long battle with cancer. Ed Walinsky was well-known and well-respected in the Fairfax Bar, and dedicated years of service to the Bar. Among other contributions, he was a past member of the Fairfax Bar Association Board of Directors and most recently served on the Judicial Screening Committee. Since 1996, he served on the Virginia State Bar Fee Arbitration Committee. He was a partner in the firm of Shoun, Bach, Walinsky & Curran, P.C., and despite his illness, served as the managing partner of the firm during 2009.
 

Thomas P. Mains, Jr. 

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Thomas P. Mains, Jr., Attorney at Law. He passed away quietly on January 17th, 2010 at the age of 75 from Wegener’s disease. He is survived by his wife, sons, daughter-in-laws, daughters, son-in-laws, sister and 14 grandchildren. Over the past 47 years, Mr. Mains had been an active member of the Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, and the McLean bar associations.
