This is a free day-long comprehensive training for any lawyer to learn the ins and outs of representing a parent in a child custody matter in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.  Taught by experienced and respected local family lawyers as well as sitting Judges, this training and the accompanying materials will prepare the attorney both substantively and procedurally. Effective strategies will also be discussed.  Representation for purposes of Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) will be covered, as well.  In exchange for the training, the participant will represent pro bono either one custody client or two SIJS clients.  The course carries 6.5 MCLE credits.
