Every lawyer dreads receiving a confidential envelope from the Bar, giving notice that an ethics complaint has been filed against him or her. What happens next, how does the process work, and how can you protect yourself? Our panelists, who sit on the defense side and the prosecution side, will give you a detailed overview of the Virginia State Bar's procedure for handling ethics complaints, and will address the many potentially thorny issues that can arise.
