The Federal Bar Association, Northern Virginia Chapter, is hosting two of its most popular events coming up on January 24th: the Special Admission Ceremony to the Eastern District of Virginia and the “Nuts and Bolts of Civil Practice in the Rocket Docket” CLE

First, in the Special Admission Ceremony, all attendees will be sworn in to practice before the Eastern District of Virginia.  This is an excellent (and efficient) way to be admitted to the Rocket Docket and to learn how the Court operates.  But to be eligible for the Admissions Ceremony, admittees will need to mail in to the Court (postal, not email) the necessary paperwork by January 17th.  You can sign up for the Introduction and Admissions Ceremony through the Chapter’s website here, which includes the details on the necessary paperwork that admittees will need to return to the Court.

Second, the Chapter’s “Nuts and Bolts of Civil Practice in the Rocket Docket” CLE will provide attendees the tools to effectively and competently litigate civil cases in EDVA, and it will feature both experienced practitioners plus two United States Magistrate Judges.  Those interested can sign up for this popular CLE here.
