As of May 12, 2017, the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Assistance Clinic is moving to the United States Bankruptcy Courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia.

The walk-in clinic provides free bankruptcy counseling for individuals.  It is conducted by local bankruptcy attorneys with the assistance of law students from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University and is supervised by Craig B. Young, an adjunct professor at Scalia Law and a partner at Kutak Rock LLP.  The clinic is open to everyone on the second and fourth Friday of each month between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  The bankruptcy courthouse is located at 200 South Washington Street in Alexandria.  Entrance to the courthouse requires a government issued photo ID.  Electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the courthouse.

The clinic began in January 2016 and previously was conducted in space provided by the Office of the United States Trustee in Alexandria.
