On July 1, Virginia became the first state in the South to legalize marijuana for recreational use.  The final legislation makes possession of up to an ounce of marijuana legal for personal use for adults 21 years or older and establishes a new independent regulatory authority within state government responsible for establishing the commercial cannabis industry, issuing regulations for cultivation, wholesaling, and retail sale of marijuana.

During this 3-hour program our distinguished panelists to include Hon. Gary Moliken, Judge, Fairfax County General District Court, David B. Albo, Esq., Williams Mullen, Peter D. Greenspun, Esq., Greenspun Shapiro PC, Douglas R. Kay, Esq., Offit Kurman P.C., and Pia J. Miller, Esq., Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney, Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County will provide a detailed briefing on the recently passed legislation.
