This award is presented in recognition of a special person whose work has positively influenced the community which is served by the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, and to commend an outstanding individual who has performed with dignity and dedication towards the advancement of the welfare of children and families in the Fairfax J&DR District Court in the tradition of the late Judge Arnold B. Kassabian.

The award is presented each year at the FBA Annual Meeting.
