Join the Fairfax Law Foundation and FBA's Young Lawyers Section on February 26, 2026, from 1:00–5:00 PM at the Fairfax County Courthouse for Motion to Stand Out: How to Become an Exceptional Attorney, a dynamic half-day CLE designed to help young and emerging lawyers elevate their practice. The program kicks off with a welcome and big-picture discussion on what separates exceptional attorneys from the rest, followed by sessions on the core traits and habits that build credibility and professionalism. Attendees will then dive into practical strategies for productivity and deep work in a digitized world, master the fundamentals of written discovery, and sharpen deposition preparation and client management skills. The afternoon concludes with an engaging panel on motion practice—covering procedures, advocacy tips, and common pitfalls—before wrapping up with guidance on long-term growth and career vision.

A happy hour will follow from 5:00–7:00 PM at Kelly’s Oyster House and Bar, offering a great opportunity to network and continue the conversation.
